DIY treat jar

I have two dogs who love their treats! They have their own shelf in the cabinet full of treats/bones/food. Instead of the ugly boxes the treats come in, I decided to make a cute treat jar for the counter top.

--I took an old candle jar and removed the wax by setting it in the freezer for a few days. I then took a knife and chopped up the frozen wax. It broke into large pieces and was easily removed. I washed the jar with Goo Gone and dish soap.
--I dug though my scrapbook paper and found this cute 'bone' printed paper. I cut it to size and used Mod Podge to wrap it around the jar. I cut out the letters on my Cricut Expressions to spell 'Treats' and Mod Podged those and the ribbon to the jar.
--For the lid of the jar I applied the clear sticker 'Its a dogs life' to the printed scrapbook paper. I applied it and the ribbon with Mod Podge. At the end I went over the outside of everything with Mod Podge for a little protection.
--I would not recommend submerging this under water for washing. I would just wash the inside using a wet cloth and be careful to not get the outside wet.
--I was happy with the way this turned out. I actually made a few different treat jars and gave this one away as a gift. I did not get pics of the other ones I made.

Craft room re-do

Thanks to Pinterest I have made many of the ideas I have ran across become reality. I love reading other peoples blogs about crafts, fashion, beauty and life. I decided I would start my own blog. This will also be a place I can save/follow other blogs. Since I have been crafting for many years, mostly card making and anything else I come across that I think I can make, I have accumulated lots of supplies that I no longer had space for. Including my large Cricut Expressions. I found myself making most things on my lap. Anyone would know this can be difficult when you need a steady flat surface. Here is a picture of my craft room BEFORE::
My lovely Husband noticed this huge mess and problem I had and decided to build me a new desk. We decided to buy two of the 9 cubbie storage cubicle in white from Menards. They are $44.97 but can be found on sale quite often. We also picked up melamine board which was about $30. I'm not sure of the exact measurements but it was huge, its 3/4" thick and we cut it down to 3' by 5'. Since the cubicles are 3 feet wide, the board sits on top of the two perfectly. My husband put 3 nails into each corner to hold the top down.
Now this was the best part...when I got to organized and put everything in its place. AFTER::
I also printed these off and put them in frames for some 'craft room decor'
